Connect official source, reviewed change, applicability decision and the records your team needs to update.
Keep the publication and your assessment distinct
Start with the official publication and its identity: source, document reference, language, version and publication date. A summary is a guide to the text, not a replacement for it. Keep a draft assessment distinguishable from reviewed or published information.
Ask what changes for this product
The responsible technical team considers the vehicle category, market, approval route and existing evidence. A date in a document is not automatically the deadline for every vehicle. Record the provision, the affected scope and the source for any transition information. Leave an unresolved point open rather than filling a gap with an assumed date.
Create a work item with an owner
Translate the assessment into a specific task: review a field mapping, update a document template or request missing technical evidence. Give it an owner, a source reference and a review criterion. Keep regulatory review separate from the software change and from any later authority procedure.
Close the loop with visible evidence
Compare the changed record or output with the reviewed requirement. Preserve the earlier version and the reason for the change. RegsUP supports the source and reviewed-information stage; document preparation belongs to the relevant product workflow. The manufacturer remains responsible for the applicability decision.
